Can it help me?

We all have times in our lives when we encounter difficulties and struggle to make sense of what is happening to us. Counselling provides an opportunity to talk about our difficulties, fears, anxieties, hopes and dreams in a safe, confidential, non-judgmental space.

Counselling can help both ordinary problems of living and life crises and there is evidence it can help people who are finding it difficult to cope with any of the following:
  • loss and bereavement
  • relationships
  • low self esteem
  • stress
  • anxiety
  • depression
  • abuse
  • identity
  • life transitions

Research shows that counselling works best when we feel comfortable and at ease with our chosen therapist and that feeling listened to, accepted and understood is really important. For this reason, I am always happy to offer potential clients a free half hour initial session in order to experience the way I work.
